Churchill's
Britain's Lectures
Each lecture is
tailor-made to suit your needs. The following are examples of previous
lectures Jonathan Sandys has delivered.
Never
Surrender!
This lecture is a lesson in the principle of never quitting, honesty,
and being right. Churchill promised France and the United States, that
Britain would fight the war alone if she had to, but it was preferable
to have their help. This lecture demonstrates that although you maybe
up against fearfully high odds, you can still get victory, as long as
you are prepared to have the Never Surrender! attitude of Sir Winston
Churchill.
Heroism
A lesson in the morals of a hero. It demonstrates how a person can be
a hero, it encourages belief in oneself, and it demonstrates that in order
to be a hero, whether it is in an exam, or helping someone else, you have
to fight for that right now when it is easy, it is no good waiting until
the day before and cramming to learn the lessons you need for the following
day.
Courage
and Honour
This lecture is a lesson in learning from our mistakes, not running from
them, but admitting them and moving on. It explains why Winston Churchill
said; Success consists of going from failure to failure without
loss of enthusiasm, and it teaches that; Courage is what it
takes to stand-up and speak but courage is also what it takes
to sit down and listen.
Patriotism
- "Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat"
Churchill loved both Britain and America and he respected, loved and understood
the freedoms that we all enjoy. World War I and II took many lives of
good men, women and children, it is our responsibility in our respective
countries, to ensure that what history writes of us in the future, is
an honour to those who have given their lives in the past. You have
enemies? Good. That means youve stood up for something, sometime
in your life.
The
Wicked Wit of Winston Churchill
This is a collection of some of Winston Churchills funniest moments
and is designed to give everyone a good laugh. It is a lecture packed
with his humour and a short description of where he was and what he was
doing when he said or did what he did.
